What to do Salta?

Salta is an invitation to adventure, for the diversity of its landscape and its large extensions of almost virgin territory. Night-time activities are no less attractive than those that can be done during the day, and are so extensive that they cover all kinds of alternatives for those seeking relaxation, long walks, recreational activities, renovating massages and healing techniques. Each town or city of the province offers a wide variety of typical food. The Tren a las Nubes (Train to the Clouds) is the most amazing high mountain train in the world.

When to go? Salta?

With an average annual temperature of 22°C, the climate in Salta is warm and pleasant all year round, as well as the whole surroundings of the Lerma Valley. However, there is an important thermal amplitude between the hot summer and the cold winter. April is a special month as the whole month is dedicated to "Abril Cultural Salteño", with artistic activities all over the city. Also in April, on the 4th, the "Dia de la Empanada Salteña" is commemorated, a dish originally from Salta and famous all over Latin America. Although Salta is beautiful at any time of the year, the best time to travel to Salta is the midseason, thanks to the ideal climate and the absence of rain. May and September are also highly recommended months to go there as it is the low season.
