What type of disinfectants do we use in the cabin to sanitize it?
In accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization, planes are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every night using disinfectants approved by the aircraft manufacturer and complying with the AMS (Aerospace Material Specifications) standard.
The disinfectant solution used is based on Quaternary Ammonium, which the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) included in its product list "as one of the effective disinfectants to combat SARS-CoV-2".
Furthermore, JetSMART has introduced the use of the latest technology using disinfectant sprayers, which are capable of ionizing the disinfectant liquid before application, ensuring greater adherence to surfaces.
