How to redeem miles on JetSMART.com?

Go to JetSMART.com and log in with your AAdvantage® account to redeem miles for travel on JetSMART flights, either for yourself, your companions or anyone else.

3. Select your fare

Choose between Travel Light, Pack SMART, or Pack FULL. Packs include optional services that require more miles.

5. Payment

After you book, the miles will be automatically deducted from your AAdvantage® account.

To check your available miles or your mileage history, log in to your AAdvantage® account on AA.com. When redeeming miles for flights, you cannot earn AAdvantage® miles.

Frequently asked questions

Redeem miles

If you buy a Travel Light fare, you cannot make changes unless you have acquired the Flexi SMART product.

If you purchased a PackSMART, PackFULL, or added the optional Flexi SMART, you could change your flight by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Changes and Refunds section at the bottom of the JetSMART.com.
  2. Enter your booking details (Reservation code and passenger’s last name or the buyer’s email address)
  3. Select the “Change flight date” option and follow the instructions
  4. You’ll receive an-email confirming the change, which will include a refund of your miles and the amount paid with your card
  5. Once approved, your miles will be refunded automatically and the card payment will be returned within a maximum of 30 business days
  6. You can then go back to JetSMART.com to redeem your refunded miles for a new flight

If your flight is changed or canceled by JetSMART, we’ll contact you by email to offer either a new flight or a refund of your miles and any amount paid by card. To proceed, go to the “Manage Your Flight” section on JetSMART.com, where you can reschedule or request a refund.

  • In these cases, the flight change won’t be treated as a cancellation and rebooking. You’ll simply select a new flight, and the change will be processed with no additional charges or refunds.
  • If you choose a refund, your AAdvantage® miles will be returned to your account, and any amount paid for other optional services, taxes, or fees will be refunded to your original method of payment.

You will not be able to continue booking. You have 3 options:

  1. Go back a step to search for another flight using fewer miles.
  2. Return to the homepage to buy your preferred flight using another payment method.
  3. Visit aa.com/buymiles to purchase the additional miles you need to book your flight.

Your booking will be held for 15 minutes, allowing you to retry payment with a different card. If the purchase is not completed within that time, the reservation will be automatically canceled and the miles will be refunded to your account. If you wish to try again, you will need to start a new reservation from the beginning, selecting the “Use AAdvantage® miles” option once more.

Yes, you'll need to log in to your AAdvantage® account. You can then book the trip for the other travelers.
